thank you, maren, for taking the time to respond. and like i said to elise, i think i'll take the time to write more on the subject. but i would be interested to know more specifically what horrified you. i get so inured to the whole situation that it's been a while since i've looked at the situation from the perspective of an outsider - i would be fascinated to hear your analysis, as always.
